WELCOME TO OUR LODGE

Welcome to the lodge website for Center Lodge #97 in Meriden, CT.
As Connecticut Freemasons we embrace the tenets of Friendship, Morality and Brotherly Love. We do this by using the teachings of Freemasonry to better ourselves, our community and each other. At our lodge we make Masons and here at our website we show you our history, activities and schedule of future events.
The Masonic Fraternity does not invite anyone to become a member, instead we wait patiently for the special man to knock on our door and seek admittance. Perhaps your visit here is that "knock" on our outer door.
Feel free to browse our site; investigate us and Freemasonry! See for yourself what we are doing here. We hope this site interests you into becoming a better man and joining the greatest and largest Fraternity in the world.
Connecticut Freemasons: making a difference, here and around the world.

Next Lodge Event

May 12th 2010, 6PM

R.W. Brother Brad Cooney will be leading a lively, timely and interesting discussion on Dan Brown’s latest New York Time’s bestsellerThe Lost Symbol on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Center Lodge #97. The discussion is entitled "Ancient Mysteries, New-Age Science, and the Oldest Fraternal Body on the Planet". Dinner starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. and the discussion will start at approximately 7:15 (after the Lodge is opened and guests are invited to join us).

During the discussion, and in the context of Brown’s novel, we will be reminded (or learn about) how Freemasonry remains a unique institution that has been a major part of community life in America for over two hundred and fifty (250) years. He will alert us to the fact that Freemasonry is America 's largest and oldest fraternity that also has worldwide membership encompassing millions of men.

Brother Cooney’s discussion will touch-upon the principles of the fraternityincluding morality, justice, charity, truth and the law of Godand how the application of those principles in our homes, in our work, and in our communities enables members to better themselves and become positive external influences.

From the East

Brethren,
My year in the East is passing by with a speed that I never would have imagined. As I write this address the year is 1/6 over, and by the time you read this it will be ¼ over. We have done some good work in these brief few months. We have 10 candidates currently going through the degrees or preparing to go through the degrees. We are becoming strong. I see the desire in the eyes of the Brothers and Candidates who want to help more, to learn more, and to make more out of themselves. They have come to understand that the Masonic Fraternity is a place where all of those objectives can be realized and Center Lodge is on a path to become the Benchmark for the Masonic Fraternity in Connecticut.
But Brothers there is much more to do....  Click Here to Read the Rest from the East.
